Random Acts Of Kindness

My Girlfriend is at Pomey Uni doing architecture and has to print alot of building plans etc on A3 paper or larger. This morning she ran out and has about 10 sheets that need printing. The whole of Portsmouth has run out of decent quality paper so I, being the helpful, caring boyfriend, I said i'd try and find some near where I work.

I gave my local print shop a quick call and they told me they had some but don't sell it, but to go down to thier shop anyway as he'd give me 10 sheets to get her out of a possibly huge problem!

When I got to the Print shop he ended up giving me about 100 sheets of the decent quality stuff... FOR FREE!

Maybe the sun is making people nicer??

Anyway, story over.

Have any of you had random acts of kindness recently?

(Y)

Well i guess this counts;

My freewas broken and since I live in the netherlands, there are hardly any people/shops who can fix/sell, and I didn't know anyone who does doing trials then

So i called up the monty guy in the netherlands and he told me that he did sell freewheels

but being the total noob that I was (am:), i had no idea what my gear ratio was, how to remove the freewheel from the crank, how to put the new one on.

So the guy just send me 2 freewheels for free and let me try which fitted :)

He also sold me my monty 221PR for €350 cheaper :)

He can't sell anything now since belaey is the distributor now :(

I love it when people can't keep it to themselves.

I don't - gets boring very quickly.

I once got a free taxi ride after a night on the piss. The driver stopped to ask us if we wanted a lift, and was heading out of town. We said we didn't have any money, but he said it wasn't a problem. When we got out, we offered him £2 we'd scraped together from the change in our pockets ("Go on, have a pint on us!") but he wouldn't take it!! A true geezer!

Needed £5.90 for 2 pints, ordered them but when i got them realised i only had £5.05 to my name... A nice bloke next to me gave me £1 and told me to keep the change, rad :D

I hope that was 2 pints of rocket fuel for 6 bloody quid

guy sat next to me on the sofa in the pub dropped a tenner when he went to the bar, his mate didn't see and i picked it up and had it without anyone realising. gave it back to him of course. and they were chavvy fellows, especially when they said "cor mate not many people would to that these days" probably the company they keep.

judders dropped his wallet on the way to work a while ago which had his passport and about £150 cash in it and someone handed that back in! :turned:
