Boswell
I no that most people on this forum would have heard about the horrific events of yesterday when over 30 innocent men and women where shot dead, I am personally sickened by what has happened. I have basically started this thread for people to talk about what has happened.

anzo
To be honest finding out why this guy did it is a complete waste of time, the guys obviously got a f**king nut loose somewhere...and he killed 30 something people, the guy was EASILY capable of killing a lot more.To tell you the truth, I'm suprised this hasn't happend in the UK yet. I dont think the wait will be too long to go though; also I bet that there is another massacre in the next few months, like last time. People see things like this on the news and thing 'Yea, thats a good idea'...a week later...Anyways, a lot of wasted lives thanks to that fanny. hubertus
Those americans must get some gun control laws, otherwise this king of horror will go on and on!250 millions fire arms in circulation in the US!!! I mean, COME ON!!!! This is nuts!Over 25000 dead by gunshot every year! Hellooooooooooooooooooo!

Live with it. Its the same with the firearms situation; its in the US constitution and is a human right for Americans, not everyone who owns a gun is an unstable retard. Throw facts and figures with how many guns are in circulation in the UK or US, how do they know how many guns there are? By REGISTERED GUN KEEPERS - aka. responsible mature people who know how to use and control them properly.I'm sure if we lived in the US, most of us on here would, when we turned 21, excerise our right to own a firearm? And even if strong gun controls were to come into effect, it wouldn't make a difference. All that would mean is that the responsible owners wouldn't be allowed to keep them...by no means would it prevent a complete idiot getting hold of one. Look at the UK, 5 years minimum for carrying...does it stop people? Does it feck. Edited April 18, 2007 by anzo

Look at the UK, 5 years minimum for carrying...does it stop people? Does it feck. No, your right, it doesn't stop it, but it massively reduces it. Like right now, out of people I know, I'd have to try bloody hard, spend lots of money, and go through about 6 or 7 people to get a gun. Where as if I was in America, I could probably get one pretty easily, for quite cheep, within a few days.Think about it this way, If you want a gun for something unlawful, your gunna want a second hand or unregistered one yeah? well if less people can buy them legally, then there's gunna be less in circulation to be sold second hand, or unregistered. Like if they suddenly stopped importing something like lawnmowers, then you'd have a bloody hard time finding a second hand lawnmower, because there wouldn't be any for people to sell.Whatever you say about gun laws, just look at the statistics, America has more open gun laws, and America has more gun crime, they go hand in hand. yoyoyo
But that would increase demand on the black market, and there will still be people importing them illegally. It's like drugs, they're illegal but you still get people bringing them in/growing them. I see where your coming from but the people who do bad things with firearms that get on the news will just get them of the black market, yes it would reduce the numbers of gun crime, but not the shootings where lots of people die.On Simons point, perhaps written in the wrong place, i agree to a certain extent, in that i'm always intrigued as to why all the serial killers do what they do, as in their upbringing and any other motives that cause them to kill. I don't condone what they're doing and i don't think Si does, but who knows whats going on in his head. In response to the actual topic, my condolences to the victims families and anyone else involved. And America does need to sort out their gun policies , it's worrying to think how many kids worldwide carry weapons with them.

Luano
about the gun laws and that in switzerland any body over a certain age (21 probably) can carry a gun and they have low gun crime rates probably lower then our country.its more to do with upbringing and culture i mean hip hop makes guns seem cool and any wannabes just do what they see and hear.R.I.P
