Boswell
I had a thought today why not run 2 bashrings instead of a bashplate. I think that they would give good balance and look amazing. what do you think?
abe
If you mean a bash on either crank it would work effectively, give more clearance and hold the bike steady. I wouldnt be suprised if its on the market at some point.
Ash-Kennard
its just not going to be atm. more people are riding UCI style and avoid using a bash, so most of the time it would just be added weight unnecessarily

Up'n'away
Yeah but whats the real advantage? I mean its not as if bash plates dont make balancing harder?
PaRtZ
yeah still dont see the advantage to be honest. if you land on your bash ring, more often than not you put your pedal down too so you're perfectly balanced
Greetings
Firstly you would need two drive side cranks = expensive. Secondly this would only work on urban and be beneficial only to new riders who find it too difficult to balance on one rockring. I mean the whole idea of a bashring is to protect the chainring and chain, what's the point of having a bashring that doesn't protect anything? A bashplate protects the frame and chainring and is fairly steady if you land on it.
Dan6061
I saw this on a BMX about 3/4 years ago...Can't see much point to it for UCI, if you slip, then all the bash is doing, is stopping you from bending your chainring, not to keep you balanced... pitbull-91
I think it's a good idea to the sound f it . Because when you are on the bash ring you wobble also you scratch one side of the bash area and not the other so yer better balance and less bashing .. hope it catches on b great Thanks Bennyb
um....tasty
You would just wreck twice as much bench.
