PaRtZ
Im just astonished as im coming up to riding for 3 years, how ive stuck at it, I cant fathom it. Usually EVERYTHING is a fad for me. one point i was an RC fanatic, then model sail boats, then electrician etc etc but they've all gone now and trials is the only thing that I've stuck at and I don't really know whySo post away your thoughts, whats stopped you from giving up trials and whats making you keep goingcheers
mrBENN
Well first i was an rc car fanatic aswell then i moved on to footy but i never stuck at them but trials is one of the only things i have stuck at becasue you can do it nearly anywhere and it involves you getting active unlike standing there with an rc controler only letting your fingers have a workout but trials for me is the best spot i have ever done and still going strong i am and hopefully i will stick at this hobby so 2 years roughly and still going strong.Ben
Tylerlovesalex
For me trials its not just a sport or to pass time, i have adhd and trials is the only thing in the world i have stuck to, it makes me feel so great and carms me down loads! its not a sport its a lifestyle! Greetings
Probably because that's what I've been doing for almost a third of my life. It's fun, it wastes energy, it keeps you in touch with nice people and it really seems to impress the ladies.I think it's just a kind of lifestyle, an addiction of some sort
jamesb
I have always been into extreme sports, and biking was the main one. I went from flatland tricks to street riding to BMX to dirt jumping and then finally trials. Trials is the only type that stuck. I have been riding trials almost every day for 4 years now, and I still can't get enough! It must be because it is very easy to see every little improvement I make on the bike, this keeps me going. Plus the "oohs" and "ahhhs" from other people are awesome
eskimo
I think it's just a kind of lifestyle, an addiction of some sort Although there have been a few gaps of not riding trials. Riding bmx and skating instead. But always been riding over 7 years now.
Matthew_Gibson
Iv always had a bike, but If had a RC Nitro car, Fishing ( :$ ), RC planes. But I've always had a bike. Not I have a trials bike, I'd never get rid of it. Just because i love it.

Ryan.
i've done alot opf sports but trials seems to be the only one where i can see an actual improvement in what i do, i think the sport is a great way to calm down and just relax and have fun. Also i have a lot of great trials mates that iv met during my time riding

Nick Manning
I've now been riding 7 yrs, i started out when Trials Kings were making it big. When people were still riding 16" and 14" xc frame with FSA cranks. Trials is the only thing i have ever stuck at, and to still be doing it after 7 yrs is great for me. What keeps me going is: riding new places, meeting new people and having a great laugh when im out riding. Plus if i never got in to riding, then i never would have met my girlfiend. I'm 21 and im really keen on trials and general cycling. i dont plan on quitting anytime soon, but if and when i do, il continue to ride bikes just not trials. Bike trials is the best thing that i ever got into, I love it.
Joe_Elding
The only thing really keeping me riding is the mates ive got through it atm.

Simpson
Dunno... just team "sports" are less interesting because your not always involved and when other people f**k up, it f**k you off, and your team ends up looking bad. I still do play football at a good level but every touch you take your worryed about messing it up for the team, dont really like to take risks because its not just you it effects... Played Badminton got offered to play for Essex but turned it down because of football, although i liked the acheivment of just me, it wasnt amazingly fun and just making sure you can play the same shots spot on right. Always been into bikes i love being hands on fixing and modifying bikes and i sometimes feel like i still ride to "tinker" with the bike! just knowing you can improve it without having to spend money on it getting it running smoothBeen riding 3-4? years now just great fun to keep getting better and enjoying it with all the great people i have met through riding! all my other mates are great for getting lashed with but nothing id prefer doing on a weekend than sitting in the sun with all the lads from, Southend, Hadleigh and Canvey massives. Just so chilled great to chat ride, smile e.t.c.Other biking disiplines are just boring, no XC round here, or dirt jumping anymore and BMX'ing is great fun, but so many more lines in trials which no-ones ever seen or thought about before, like somoe rocks i played on last weekend finding this fun line like, (rolling, rest front wheel, 90 sidehop up, to wheel swap, to static up) just made me feel really happy when i nailed it! and in BMX you just know that someone's dont it long ago... Tommy d
Just cos it's so much fun! It never gets boring because there's always more to do that you haven't done before, and always new places to ride and new people to ride with. There's other stuff I like about it like it keeps you fit and gets you outdoors but I don't think that's really why I do it, it's just good.Oh and more things, riding can take your mind off absolutely anything. And it makes you feel kind of free that you can go pretty much anywhere and find something to ride on.
