Well we have just landed back ome.

what a weekend we,ve had.

Hot day on Sat marking the trial out, then far to much banter and beer and BBQ'ed meat, late night, early morning, head ache, and to cap it all off even HOTTER than sat.

Rob got off to a POOOOOOOR start (as usual) but talking to people it looks as though every one did to some degree. he finished his first lap off with a fantastic clean, then he was away. he had a good ride then and showed some if not most of the older lads riding his route the way to go.

It was a high scoring trial but I think it went very well it was as they say, the same for every body.

Well done to all who endured the heat and those bloody Kamikaze flying robo ants, you should be proud of your selves.

Thanks to Fred ( top chef ),

Mick ( top van and TV gig)

Babs ( the queen )

ALL of the half eaten observers you were all ACE.

Young Abi Oliver for the trophy handing out thingy ( waynio will pinch a kiss off you next time). Well don on 2nd place as well.

Hope to see you all at Blackpool it's gonna be a blast.

Cheers JP

I thought it was a great trial, the sections were not too bad they were long, but all were possible if you ureally went for it, I was happy to get out of Brians section before he shortened it as it was massive. I started off ok then got really bad on my second lap, I felt horrible on my 3rd lap could hardly pull my brakes, yet got my best lap of the trial :S I ended up losing 1st place on most cleans (N) oh well have to try harder at Blackpool should be a great event, just like this one was!

Hi everybody, i thought it was a great trial probably the the best national round ive ever done the sections were great, quite long and quite hard but in my view thats what made it so good, i had a really bad first lap going round on a very bad score, my second lap went great my last lap went ok but it was getting towards the end of the day and i and im sure a lot of people were getting tired and suffering from the heat. i ended up winning my class which i was very happy with. i thought it was a really good idea to have banner to show this was a national event and having music down by the start all helped to make it a great day and a really good competition.

I would like to thank all all the people who were involved with organising the event, and also another thanks goes to the observes who stood out in the heat all day to help make it possible to run the event.

Cheers James...

iv spoken to Ben Savage this morning and he is ACHING ;) hahaha. i was absolutly out of it last night tired/aching/cramp!!!

Excellent (Y):) maybe less "overstretching" dabs next time, iv only got small legs, and my 1 day old frame looks like iv had it a good month :P

Well done to everyone who finished, and a big thank you to all the observers, if only we could have weather like that all the time, observers would WANT to observe more often

See you all at blackpool hopefully.

was a bit hard :P (well it wasnt, but it was) i thought it was ok, after a first look the sections looked long, but it wasnt really the length of them, it was the stuff that was in them. (Y):)

Cheers to everyone who made it happen, was a spot on day, weather made everything complete.

:P Yep a top day all round. We (read my son) were riding the green route and thanks to the common sense and experience of the organising team we had a superb day.

The reason for my praise is that instead of trying to put my son off trials riding for the rest off his life they allowed him to tackle very different and challenging sections which to anyone over the age of 10 looked like a Sunday ride in a very steep and rocky park but to a 6 year old on a small Monty they were very difficult :S So this is where experience and common sense kicks in. The organisers allowed the kids riding the green route to dab as many times as they needed to which allowed them to get through the section! What a simple idea and because everyone could use the dabs it was also fair (Y)

The outcome of this well organised and well thought out event was one very tired son who phoned up every relation he could think of to tell them he had won a trophy  He then went back to school today and told all his class mates what he had done over the Easter holidays, which in his eyes was only one thing and that was winning his trophy, which he also took to show them.

Had the trial been run in such a way that he got a 5 on every section then things would have been very different. He fived the first two sections of the day and the bottom lip was out and quivering :( but a couple of 3's using as many dabs as he liked turned the tears into a big smile and the confidence to try a tricky drop off on one section ;)

Now we have a very proud mum and dad, a very rosy cheeked son and thanks to Waynio a younger son who is determined to get as much air off tree roots as he can :P(Y)

A super day, a great social event and a very promising start to this exciting and fresh championship (Y)

I am glad that young Adam managed to get round with a big smile on his face, he never fails to make me laugh  , his enthusiasum is second to none. Now he is what it is all about. The future is looking good with this crop of younger lads and lasses coming through. ;)

Like you said roll on Blackpool.

He will be doing the white route before you know it and showing you the way. :-

I am glad that the revised green route worked out for the little uns as the white route would have been far to much for them and as you say could have put them off for ever. (Y)

we will be going up to the Glen this week give me a bell if you want to take the little scamp out for a bit of practice.

:$ hehe, altho i did at one point have my eyes covered as i thought elliott was going to be face down, but he turned what looked to become a crash into something totally un explainable!!!! it was like he had just bunnyhopped a good foot in the air lifting both wheels off the ground!!! not bad for a 5 year old (Y):)

i think both Adam and Robbie found their classes "hard" but was good to see after the first few sections the boys were down, but within a couple more sections they were in full spirit and were back tackling the sections (Y):)

See everyone at blackpool, who is going to be staying over night? and also WHERE? which hotel etc? or where thee going to camp?

Peacock, il see you and Neil tomorrow night and will arrange a night out training, went up oakworth quarry last night, fell off the top of the gate!!!! thought it would be clever to climb over and my trousers caught the top!!! (knew it would happen though!!! :( ) we could possibly organise another trial up there for the summer, it never fails to amaze me in the dry, was a good night and a few young guns up there.
