A!!
you're doing what i used to do when i learnt them on my bmx. I found the best thing to do was to stop putting my foot as high to clear the bike, and you have to wait for the bike to come round more before you get ready to hop back in, so don't go for the pedals too early. And when the bike does start to reach the point where you're getting ready to land back on the pedals, remember to keep your weight forward, so that the back end doesn't drop. Also it may seem like a stupid idea, but when you do go to get on the pedals try to jump back on to them, instead of getting one foot over and on first which upsets the balance. It will catch you out the first few trys, but i found it was the best way to learn them, plus it looks a lot smoother.Edit: Another thing, which you seem to do anyway, is always keep your eyes on the pedals And this is a how to but it's for bmxers that are brakeless, either way it's worth a look: Footjam whips Edited April 15, 2007 by huck_it
eskimo
Try catching the frame with your foot to start with. It's basically just a case of kicking lightly lean forward then back and catch. Don't try and bring the frame towards you. Wait for it and take your time.
