deanie-b
Hey guys. When I'm on the rear wheel, I can hear a kind of rattling sound, through checking my components, i've managed to conclude that it's coming from the BB area.Could it be loose or something along the lines?Only had the bike for a month, sooo Any help appreciated Dean
paolo
Ehm, could be:-Cranks are loose or too tight-Cranks/BB not well lubricated-Shot or dirty bearings in the BB-Inadequate chain line: your chain doesn't come straight on your sprocket or chain ring-Loose chain ring/sprocket-Pedals: loose, bearings are shot-This one is highly unlikely, but your frame's BB shell might not be properly faced.Bottom, line, take a look at it and if you can't find anything obvious, take the whole thing apart and check everything one by one, clean it all, lube it tons put it back on. ogre
how tight loose is your chain? if it's uberloose it could be hitting your chainstays, if its ubertight there might be a stiff link?
deanie-b
It's only 7 things to check Cbf.Will just ride it tomorrow, and drop it off at LBS on't way home Edit - my chain is about right .One thing that does worry me, when you look a little more closely and spin the cranks, the crank at a certain part of the revolution, bows out a little.
