Building A Trials Bike From The Ground Up.

Hey Im new to trials riding but I've been doin MTB for a few years and before that just riding. But now I got a few extra dollars and I want to build a bike from the ground up. I am considering the A1 stock frame as it looks killer, and a single gear drivetrain. I am 6'2" (188cm) but I don't know whether to get the long or short frame, and the bike shops around here don't have trials bikes setup. Anyway it's hard as hell to find parts catalogs on the net, do you guys know of a place to order parts online, and ships to the states? Thanks for any help.

Okay cool. Two more questions: is it possible to ride a 24" wheel on a stock frame, without disc brakes? And is there two versions of the stock a1, the 135mm and the 116mm? I want to run a single gear with no derailleur so I think I want the 116 right?

No, it will not be possible to run a 24" whel on the adamant a1 frames...

116mm spaced frames require narrower spaced hubs. (mountainbike hubs are 135mm spacing) The 116 mm frames use snail cams/chain tugs which takes care of the chain tension and dont break when yu land on them...

However...The 135mm spaced frames are also able to run a singlespeed gearing but also offer the choice to switch to gears if desired. But, the tensioner used is vulnerable to knocks and breaks easily...

If you are going to stick with single speed set up, obviously get the Modstock.

Any further questions?

Its 4am and im the only sad ass up with a can of coke replying on here...
