Easiest Modern Stock To Bunnyhop

Thinking about getting a new frame sometime as my 1115 Adamants a bit long for me.

I wanted some opinions first though.. whats the easiest "modern"-geo stock frame you've ridden for EASE OF PULLING UP INTO A BUNNY?

Ashton perhaps? Hows the Zona Zenith? Im REAL crap at pulling longish bikes up into manuals/bunnys, maybe cos im only 5'9"ish so want something that for you lanky people feels like it'll pull back into a manual practically just by leaning back a lot! What kinda BB height would make this pulling up action easier?

Cheers,

Scott

Echo pure, Zoo pitbull 07 short(same geo), Ashton probs.

Mat

(Y) Control, Zenith and don't overlook the good old Koxx levelboss (1040 or 1060)

Go for something with a lower bb rise +30 max and put higher bar/stem combo on, riser bars at the proper angle make bunnys miles easier too!

Backsweep is what your after for bunnyhops.

True, My bike would be better if the bars were angled a bit further back, but it's all about finding that balance for your riding. I have had my bars angled further back than that, but didn't like how it felt for other more trialsy stuff.

Come on, where are all the Base riders ?

Base TA26 129 Quid for the frame from tarty, it has a seat tube if you like seats, if not you can do like me and cut a two inch section of seat tube and stick some liquid metal on the top, drop that in inplace of a seat and forget you ever had one, saves about two pound of useless weight.

I will post a picture of my set up tomorrow.

Duane.

Sorry to sound old, but I remember when a short bike was something like an orange zero and a 1065 Koxx was like riding a train!

If you're after a short, but rideable frame go for the Leeson Clear 660 with a longish stem and flat bars. A friend had a set up like that and it was one of the best bikes i've ever ridden. They also have the benefit of being very light with the right set-up.

Hope that helps.

haha, interesting to see I got a few replies like "damons gu long bunnyhops much better than my monty 221pr ever did" and "my ashton doesnt bunnyhop for shit"

Did your ashton have a low stem?

What do u think about an ashton with a try-all long-but-high stem, and onza cf risers? guess the weight might be a bit over the front though, since the ashtons have steeper headangles, but might be fun for street lol
