CJtrials
Hi mate,As someone has already stated, use nitromose to remove the paint from the component. Or you could alternatively have it sand blasted ( not bead blasted or this leaves really deep ingrains which are difficult to sand out and get smooth. ) Believe me I know form past experiences! To polish the part (aluminium), I would use a metal polish called Autosol, this can be bought from most petrol stations or almost any auto shop. It is in a black and gold box and is like a tube of toothpaste. Squeeze a small bit onto a clean rag and begin rubbing it into the metal fairly hard. (concentrate on one area at a time!) The white cream will go black if it is aluminium, once it's gone black, take another clean rag and wipe it off, keep doing this until the whole thing is like a mirror!! . It takes a while to do this but if you have the patience your bike will look so so nice..Hope I have helped.. CJ..
