Would like mine doing but need to know a rough price of how much it costs so ino if i can afford it or not. Im thinking orange or pruple any other ideas it a stock gu btw. Strobe Posted April 2, 2007 Report Share Posted April 2, 2007 (edited) There was a topic not long ago (it may even still be alive) entitled 'my new t-pro frame' or something similar of a guy who got his frame anodized.Come to think of it he got it in orange too like you want, just on an Onza T-Pro frame. It looks really nice, so well worth a quick search. basher Posted April 2, 2007 Author Report Share Posted April 2, 2007 Arrh thanks, i did see the topic and glanced through and missed the 50 quid bit and just read some where his dads mate did it so not really a fair price seeing as my dads mate won't be doing it, im guessing he got it abit cheaper. I'm going matt black (at the moment I think ) but there are loads of colours of powder and 'effects' out there. Have a look at http://www.columbiacoatings.com/ and look in the online store for examples of powder and look at the 'illusions' and 'additives' if you fancy something a bit different. Bill_B Posted April 3, 2007 Report Share Posted April 3, 2007 How much is it costing you?powder costs only (from Columbia Coatings) for the powdercoating cos my monty frame will JUST fit in my mates oven and he is doing it. £30 to blast the frame and forks because his mate it doing it. The frame has to cope with about 210degC for 20mins to bake the powder on, my frame is 4130 CrMo so no probs for me, I THINK an aluminium frame would be ok with this but check first with someone who knows. It would give you a wider range of colours to chose from though. If you want paint, find a good car bodyshop get your frame prepped and primed then get them to paint it along with a car they are doing in the same colour, that way they have the paint mixed and the oven on etc they can just paint it in the corner of the oven and it will cost you less.
