Bros just got a new tele..and he wants to put his pc through the tele.

He bought a new nvidia grpahics card with the tv-out. Plugged that into tele via scart..and no luck :(

I can choose between pc monitoe and tv, but when i select tv, it comes up and u can only just make out the screen. Like its there...but after about 10 seconds it goes off, and the pc monitor turns back on again.

Ive explained that all shit..but im confused lol.

Any help, much appreciated.

It should still work with a scart cable though. Does the graphics card have s-video out and then a converter to single co-ax yellow cable? That's what mine has. If you've got an S-video cable (and somewhere to plug it) that supposedly works a bit better. Like Si said, I'd guess it was a problem with refresh rates or something. Set it on 640x480, 60 Hz (or even 50 if you can), 8 bit colour. I don't see why that wouldn't work.

it has been unplugged all the time..( all the time ..whilst trying to get the pc screen to work again )

what the bloody hell did you do to it?

can you get a display at all?

if so, safe mode (by bashing f8 repeatedly at startup) , uninstall the nvidia drivers and the graphics card from the device manager then reboot. that ought to get you back to where you started.

as for making it work with the tv. don't set the tv to be the primary display and you'll probably be able to set it up without further mishaps

if you can't get a display at all you're wankered until you can really.

boot to safe mode and uninstall the graphics driver.

To get into safe mode:

restart pc,

the moment the pc restarts keep pressing F8 untill the boot options appear.

select safe mode

select "microsoft windows"

when booted to windows go to controll pannel

click add/remove programs

select Nvidia Drivers and click uninstall

restart pc and reinstall the drivers
