My bad if I've got the situation wrong.I try not to have emotional issue with any of the words that people use. I think it's possible to realise that you have a choice to ignore the emotional connotation of a word. By doing so you make a derogatory word impotent; if used in with a derogatory intention. If we all continue to get emotionally excited by such a word it maintains its derogatory function.If you want to go 'against' racism then ignore the words it uses. At least in the emotional sense.
