Right,

Wanting to spend about 500 on a laptop.

Going to be used for general use by me and the missus, no not home movies!

Needs to be good for gaming, video and pic editing, the normal stuff

I know PC world have got some good prices but i just aint good with the jargon and different processors etc etc etc, and dont want them to sell me something which is cr@p

Also been looking at Dell but some people say they are cr@p and a superstore option would be better

Was looking at THIS

Any reccomendations/advice

Cheers in advance

Semprons suck. they have next to no L2 cache which makes for shite 3d performance - the intel on the other hand has lots of L2 cache.

in both cases you'll have trouble with games from the last couple of years because the intel graphics card uses shared video memory. For that money you won't find anything new with a proper graphics card

Out of those two go with the intel.

That bit with the games graphics cards things sorta makes sense.

Any you reccomend that would be suitable. even if it means upping the price slightly.
