helo there, im now at the stage where im wanting to get objects all the time, pedaling up on to back wheel. at the moment im only reaching about 20 inch and cant seem to get any higher, no matter how hard i try. how can i improve???

Also how accurate does tapping have to be for higher stuff, i tried it and kept on missing the top with the front wheel and nearly landing flat on my arse all the time.

how is this move done???

i ride a koxx levelboss and a onza t-rex, with ones best for getting up high things??

ill relly apprecate it if anyone can help

Cheers,

Flubber:D

after parctice and practice you will acomplish it!

are your brakes slipping? - if so either Grind your rims or get some good pads (pasmatics.rimjam, echo etc) Link

Put a bigger pedal kick in and yank up and throw your weight up with the bike.

the good thing is if its going pair shaped just jump away from the bike and land and try again!

thats what i did! and i can back wheel quite high now (Y)

any other questions add me on msn - firestarter8790@hotmail.com

i will happily help.

I'm not great at tapping but I find when im going for a pedal hop I sometimes tap by accident and it really helps push me up. Tapping is definetly a skill to master.

Bunnyhopping to backwheel is also an option to get more height. Put some pace towards the wall and pull up as hard as you can, throw the front up, preferable tapping it, and just let your weight throw you up.

just keep on practising ,i am getting 30" now and a few months ago i was getting half that :P

also getting the run up sorted helps,i ride at a jogging pace then do a half pedal turn then kick with my good foot whilist lifting the front and jumping up,then i push my handlebars forwards.

There is just something wrong with my positioning, and I know that time will fix it, but about half the time I try to pedal up something, my bike just flies out from underneath me. The biggest problem is that since I know that is going to happen so often, I get scared before I pedal up even something small! Is this a common step in the learning process? Did anyone else have this issue?

I do now, when going for stuff over 6 bricks (im a noob) I think its all to do with confidence bud, don't worry. One quick question , at what height should you start taping???
