Is It Worth 'upgrading'?

Recommended Posts

Well the TPA's have gone on both of the levers and the braking is not as good compared to the new style brakes. My mate has a set of Eisbar's and the braking performance is so much better compared to my brakes. Another reason is I'm not a big fan of yellow  but I'm not to worried about the colour. Is the braking that interests me. At least I stand out with the Raceline Yellow Maguras on my bike.

That mate would be me.

Theres no variation in how well Hs33's work between the older style lever and the newer style.

Only reasons my brakes work well is the fact that they are well set-up and reguarly adjusted, quite a lot of peoples I see in Braintree have one slave cylinder really close to the wheel and the other one is miles away, or the pads contact wonky etc.

Just set up your brakes a bit better and maybe consider a rebleed, or grind/new pads. I imagine the pads probably aren't a lot of good on those racelines Courtney.

guessing you mean eric then courtney :D

and by the way if/when you do get the new ones, it doesnt make a difference what colour they are cause they all work the same (Y)

and i dont know if you noticed but my right pad is well away from the rim now  but thats cause my wheel moved >_< , anyway it still touches the rim the same time as the other (lazy piston )

He is right but it's wise to not adjust your pads unless you need to. Let them bed in to the perfect position then leave them like it. Otherwise they will just have to bed in again.
