{larry}
Hia, Was just wondering what size gear ratios everyone is running? I have been running a 22t up front and 16t on the back. going to put an 18t on the back though as i find that the 16's too big.

Luke Rainbird
22:16s nice for slightly faster streety stuff22:18 for more 'trials' trialsRan 24:16 for a while (same as standard mod ratio) and was cool for BMXy stuff, but takes it out of you a bit for more purist stuff
{larry}
22:16s nice for slightly faster streety stuff22:18 for more 'trials' trialsYea, thats what i was thinking. Found that especially on rocks that 22:16 was way too big, but quite nice on the street. Going to give 22:18 a whirl for a while, should be better. guineasmithpig
22:18/17/15/14/13/12only got a 5spd shifter, but ran out of cassette spacers I used to run 22:18 for trials, but have give myself a selection to play around with, as the new old bike is a streety setup, so keeping my options open!Smithy
2sixstreet
Used to run 22:16 but now run 22:18 and find it much better (stock). Same comments as what Monkey Boy said.
Luke Rainbird
To be honest if you can't dig up much else in the way of 24" ratios, check out 26" stuff, and knock off a tooth or so from the rear (or find an equivalent ratio)Check out this:And find a ratio of around 30 gear inches (or just above, at around 33 was what I ran for ages) and hey presto, sorted!
