WeeGee
Ok! So this is my first post on this forum! I come from a downhill background so all the info i've learned on bike set ups is biased toward building a Heavy, Strong and usually quite expensive machine! Now i've been "turned", I need advice on building a good quality, user friendly trials bike!!I'll keep this as simple as possible! What Hub/spoke/rim combo should I be looking at? eg. how many holes in the rim? what brands to use etc... (On my D/H bike i'm running a 36 hole Hope bulb hub set, DT swiss butted spokes, Mavic EX729 disc rims, Maxxis Highroller Super tacky tyres w/ Maxxis freeride tubes! EXPENSIVE, HEAVY AND NO GOOD FOR TRIALS) Edited March 25, 2007 by WeeGee
liam_thornton
How much money do you have to spend.
WeeGee
I don't really want to spend like I did on my D/H bike but I realise I need to invest in a quality rear hub atleast!

I see Tarty bikes are doing a sale on Alex rims! Have to have a good read up on the Echo rim. Anyways Thanks!
