TomR
Shutter prioirity atleast would be nice, the more manual settings the better but at that price im not expecting the world.

Thats actually f**king great, Cheers for that! My mate worked in a camera shop for ages but hasnt done so for a while so hes a couple of years behind! I was trying to stray away from Fuji as i've always had FinePix cameras, but for what im after that's spot on.Dave - what manual controls does the A550 have? I saw there was an M setting but read somewhere else that it only changes white balance and exposure compensation?

Fixed Pants™
I have a powershot A550, after a while i realised what iso was so i got some REAL good close up pics of this battery with a low/high (cant remember which way it is for thingys, low iso = close up high iso = slow shutter speed?) Tony Harrison
Canon. You might find the A640 cheap, which is a good camera.

TomR
Canon. You might find the A640 cheap, which is a good camera.I nearly got one of those instead of my S5600, on amazon for £200 though at the moment and seems to be the cheapest. Need to keep an eye out for bargains.I've checked out most that were listed in your 28DL compact thread too but none seem to appeal really.Fight for the death then > Fuji F31fd Vs A640 (if i can find one on special offer!)
