I ride a Adamant now. Just want a second bike, cause I can basically! I'm lookin at the Monty 221 Pr, As it had a read disk and I might consider double disc. First of all whats the Monty forks like the modle im lookin at is the Monty 221 Pr forks, are they any good. as in are they snappy happy? Second, Drive chain - HELP! front free wheel. Normal hub. I'm in the dark when it come to mods so I would like as much advise as possible. What gear ratio? I'll probably get Echo cranks.Any other things to look out for when building one? Thanks for your Time! Edited March 24, 2007 by Matt Gibson

Dan6061
Forks: Echo Lite.Cranks: Zoo, Echo etc. Tensiles if you wanna splash out.Fixed rear hub: Onza T-Master.Freewheel: Tensile.18:12 ratio. 170mm cranks.
RR_Trials
18:12 ratio. 170mm cranks. Dose that mean an 18tooth front freewheel and a 12 tooth fixed cog, as thats what i have just instaled it seems a little hard to pedal, who knows.Cheers, Rorz! El Cristoff
Yeah, a front free wheel with 18 teeth, and a rear fixed cog with 12 teeth. 158mm crank arms. VIZ1 high rise mod stem and Adamant bars.
Mat Smith!
Right,165-170 cranks probs best bet, 160 are... Boring Youll need a 12 tooth rear, 18tooth font, no matter what you have, freewheel, freehub.Cranks id go for echo, zoo or tensile, try all something.Forks, monty 221pr will be fine, echo/zoo range are really good too.Bar and stem, monty 221ti is a really good choise, can get pr stems which are basicly the same, and some ti bars.Or Onza stem, and them Onza alloy bars.Mat
lego
I built this baby from parts off this forum, resprayed it myself, brought some carbon sheet and a new monty decal set.Forks are shit but other than that its all good Monty 221ti frameTi Rear Disc WheelFront & Rear HopeZoo cranks, bars, bashTensile freewheel (from zoo, member of TF)Std BashDMR pedals (ebay)Front CNC echo (hope disc hub)Maxxis new from Cycle Discount (Stoke-on-Trent)
RR_Trials
Yeah, a front free wheel with 18 teeth, and a rear fixed cog with 12 teeth. 158mm crank arms. VIZ1 high rise mod stem and Adamant bars. My gearing seems just to stiff, maybe its because all my trialsing days have been spent on standard T-Bird gearing, it may also have something to do with my brake rubbing slightly but it still feels weird ?18:12 btw.Cheers, Rorz!
