Jason222
HI, I just got an echo control 06 frame, and I need to know what the smallest width bb I can get away with is. I want to use the truvativ holzfeller 22t cranks, because I can get them cheaper, and I'm also wanting to run 8 speed in the back. I've been told to go 128, but would something like a 118mm work? lankyri
to be honest mate i would just go for the 128mm i had the onza one which costs a tenner and has lastest me for over a year and going strong
kyleson
you need widest possible mate, i had a 122mm with raceface turbines and they rubbed on chainstay, my middleburns only just clear with a 122mm to be honest
Ash-Kennard
i had a 113 fsa platinum pro in there with 175 middleburns in an 06 control, till it broke, i am now using a 118 SKF BFR 300. to be honest the thinner the bb the nicer the bike rides IMO. but a wider bb will probably help for static gaps, but is more likely to break as it is longer
Jason222
Thanks for the replies guys. I'll just go with the 128 mm then.
