Waynio
you need people who have an impact on the sport and some authority/friendly/nice people etc.Kenny BMart AshtonBen SavageDanny MacChris AkriggVincent HermanceDani ComasCesar CanasOt PiHans Reythose 10 names have had the most impact on bike trials (old skool, new skool), most others either A have a big head, B have an attitude prob or C have to work hard for a living and fit trials in . for the people that are sound and are nice people it wouldnt affect you. (in the A,B or C category)Look at the "style" in each of those riders and theres a mix of everything. joe b
That's the first i've heard of this National Bike Show . Does sound rather interesting, too!Aslong as someone makes a decent video of it, i don't care who rides and, respectively, who wins ...Cheers,Joe. I’m working directly for NBS (who are the NASS team) My budget is next to nothing. I have a nice big space to fill in the NEC Arena next to the BMX lads and the dirt jumping. We have 1 ½ hours to fill in one hit during each show day!Dave B is lending a hand, (cheers Dave) and my good friend Adam at Tarty will be helping me on the mike.So that’s all I can tell you at the moment. Tony Harrison
Sounds quite pricey, but might be worth it. Wonder if it'll be as the Bike Show used to be back in 1999/2000.Trials line up sounds ok. It used to be good to be able to go there and see the World's best riders. Guys like the Trialskings riders, Akrigg and Eddie Tongue had 'styles' that I found more entertaining than big taps and sidehops.1.5 hours in one hit? Is there only one trials show per day? Luke Rainbird
Only one show per day sucks! Will there be anything else trials there, in the way of non-demo riding, or anything at all?!Would have gone along but that sucks

011001000110010101110010
There is only 2 people who im looking forward to watching one is pretty obvious and the second is jack meek. The other riders have the same style and i doubt they will do anything new at the show. Only bigger versions of moves weve all seen in their videos. I and many others want to see original moves. Bring back "Hawzie" and Akrigg etc. I will still go the show because its better than sitting on my arse infront of the tv/pc. But as always things could be done better.....Just my 2p

To make the sport bigger?? Nadine is riding and she will promote the sport to potential female riders. Ash has earnt his ride at the bike show. I myself would much rather watch, slinger, the butlers and some real big names in world trials such as the coustelliers etc. But hey thats the type of riding i like. cheers-hugh

Tony Harrison
Yeah, how about some 24 riders like Shrewsbury and co? It would be good to see a wide range of what's possible.Shame about the single show. Means if you have a crap seat you're stuffed. Don't think I'm going to go to be honest. Not feeling the line up either tbf, espically for that price, dont get me wrong there all amazing riders in there own right. And its great to see some younger riders going as you say, it will attract more people to the sport. But if I was going to pay to watch trials, id want to see the best riders out there. Yes I understand about getting people into the sport etc, but wont the general public want to see crazy moves, not the technical side? Thing is the general public dont like "tech" moves, they like big. Edited March 27, 2007 by Willy

Luke Rainbird
hes only there because daddys probably putting money into it, also having a big brother thats rather good could be a factor. i think ash butler is pretty shit, even for a youngun, how old is he? about 14-15? ive watched 11 year olds with more style and skillYeah, but then I look at myself and how shit I am and realise the kids got it sorted!Out having a good time on a bike at the end of the day too, which is a good thing.Wish I had started at such a young age personally. However, I agree with people not wanting to pay £20 r so and see younger, less advanced riders. I wouldn't want to pay that and not see the top of the crop or whatever really
danny B
Actually Ash hasn't been thirteen for that long now he is younger than you think and people think that he is older because of the amount of time that he has been around the sport... oh and my dad isn't putting any money in! he is helping gilles with the set up of the arena because of the involvements that my old man has had with the london cycle show arena just to put you straight thanks. "No flaming", forum rules. Anyway back to the topic:Ash is a good rider, he beats people older than him at competitions (including me )From a trials riders point of view I can understand why some people would prefer to see Ash's place taken by a 'more impressive' rider, but as has already been said it will be great for any kids at the show to watch someone their own age prove that anyone can have a go. The same goes for Nadine showing that females can give the sport a go as well, off the top of my head the only other females that could ride the show would be Lois Morgan. At the end of the day the show is about promotion of the sport as well as big impressive riding.I think I am going along to the show, luckily I also have an interest in other areas of cycling so there should be a lot for me to look at.
