TomR
I was out shopping earlier as i had a day off work, and Enter Shikari came on whatever music channel was on TV at the time in the shop. Now i stopped following ES when their shows started filling up with 14 year old guys with pink hair who tried to look hard and threaten you when you get pushed into their bird who was standing in the middle of the pit, i know how big they've got as a few mates bands know them well, but what on earth have they done to 'anything can happen...'! Better production for sure, but it really kinda sucks now, that used to be a tuuuune!I was kinda shocked, they've totally veered off the course i last saw them heading on which is a bit of a shame, but whatever pays the bills i guess. BRING BACK THE GOOD OLD DAYS!On a side note, please don't turn this into a general ES slagging thread.
Dan Clark
Whats worse is what they've done to Sorry You're Not A Winner.Shit band and gay as hell.
boon racoon
the NME discovered them and turned them into "new rave" (die) superstars, despite the fact they've been playing the same songs for years and years. then their songs had to be suitable for radio play.album's a bit dissapointing it took so long to come out and there's only really 1 new song and a shit load of filler/crap. couple of the reworks are a bit lame as well Shit band and gay as hell.i'm sure i've got a trials video of yours which uses a song of theirs...still, i guess they're mainstream now
TomR
The last good new song they wrote was 'Ok, time for plan B' and they've even had a little bugger around with that.
Dan Clark
Yeah I did, but when I put that in they were pretty much a whole different band, they barely used samplers at all and had some catchy riffs, and Rou didn't do his really stupid grunty thing every 10 seconds. Now its the Rou show with the whole song backed by some trance sample with guitarrist blokey palm muting open strings in the background. TomR
Haha totally agree, they may aswell record Rory's bit with the synths and let him have some time off!

TomR
ES are good enough guys, they're friendly and they work hard at what they do, i can tell you that much.^^ was that printed? I wouldn't take it too seriously, it was probably a joke.
Has anyone seen my shoe?
They've sold out.Anyway on the subject of 'New Rave' there is very few bands in that classification atm and ES isnt one.Klaxons, CSS, New Young Pony Club are new rave.EDIT: Apparently, i dont agree with all these classifications either Edited March 20, 2007 by Has anyone seen my shoe? TomR
I wouldnt say ES have sold out, its pretty catchy and 'emo' was taking over the world as it was. It'd have been all too easy for them to sign a record deal with all the benefits handed straight over, and jsut play gigs and write/record but they didn't. Admittedly only probably ot make a point and get more publicity, but hell, who didnt dream of being a rockstar when they were a kid?
Simon
"Heres a 2 million pound record contract deal""No thanks, we'll stick with our 100k so our fans don't think we are selling out"

ogre
i've just started listening to them being a sheep ***. can anyone send me some of the old stuff please?
boon racoon
Anyway on the subject of 'New Rave' there is very few bands in that classification atm and ES isnt one.Klaxons, CSS, New Young Pony Club are new rave.EDIT: Apparently, i dont agree with all these classifications eitherI'm glad you added the 2nd bit...None of them are new rave at all. It's total bullshit - the NME just use it as a marketing tool because the Klaxons said it once in an interview as a joke. which they've now lumped ES under because they have trancey synth bits. The Sunshine Undergound were on the "indie rave" tour - and they're just a straight up brilliant indie band!
