i have a shimano at the moment, and il give it to it it has lasted about 2 years so far.

just makes an odd clicking noise at the moment

like my old onza one did just before it snapped.

All the try-all freewheel i've seen have sounded like a cement mixers. Tensiles seem as bad too. But they're both as much better than ACS's. I'd try for an eno, if you can afford it.

I'm in the same boat as you. I need a new freewheel and bottom bracket. I'm going to get a tensile or maybe a monty pawl cawl if they are any good? I'm not sure what bottom bracket I will get though... Don' want to spend much... square taper also.

I have a tensile but i want to change to a try-all since my tensile seems to skip quite a bit in bad places and although it has 72 engagement points i never seem to have the power when i want it so i will say try-all.

Go for the ACS welded from tartybikes , its cheap and the catchpoints arnt that bad and do the job quite nicely , but i feel its a good freewheel if your on a budget , but make sure you get the welded version as the lockring tends to come loose after a while.

However if your not on a budget , definitly go for the ENO freewheels, that sound great and the catchpoints are brilliant , also when theres a problem , tartybikes stock all spare parts for them!

Im using the ACS welded at the moment and hasn't skipped once!
