Have my money on an 05 Pitbull.

Edit: Also the weld at the "seatube" on the 06s comes up to the line that separates the 2 cnc'ed holes in the plates, whereas on the 05s it doesnt....(best you read that again, a lil complicated)

Definatly an 05 Pitbull frame.

we all know select bikes are shite though........

nothing personal against phill, but the whole select bikes outfit will never be even 10% of what tartybikes have become, its just nowhere near as organised and professional.

and all we ever hear is bad service comments....

its an 05 quite obviously.

Isn't really the point though what rides better. He ordered an 06, and was given an 05...

Pretty shit service to be fair, not a stab at phil or anything I'm sure he's a sound guy. But sending the wrong stuff is pretty wank.

Firstly, I’d just like to say, a full refund is available and we will arrange a collection, it's no problem, the money is not an issue as long as the customer is happy, by all means return the frame and you can keep the t-shirt, as a rider myself I can understand the problem which wasn’t intentional.

This was put across on the phone to Shaun, also the high bottom bracket is the 06 version, and if you have the 05 version it's the low bottom bracket which was also said on the phone, a genuine mistake was made.

The actual error about the frame originated when the stock was being counted. On the website it was put down as an 06 instead of an 05, this was the slight mistake made, and I can only put it down to the hundreds of items added to the site when the website was being made, the error occurred.

We have been trading for 2.5 years now, and can honestly say over this time only 2 frames have been incorrectly sent out, and both people have (unluckily for Selectbikes) posted in the same topic, the other is Inur, which was resolved and no money was lost. I have heard plenty of bad service comments from other shops, as with other shops, the majority of the time all orders and customers are happy with the service given, but sometimes unfortunately human error is to blame as in this case, there are no excuses from me about this situation, but unfortunately the way people have seen it posted on the forum, it's a bad impression and doesn't reflect the truth.

Since our new website has been open all the orders we have received have been shipped out for free and as fast as possible with very happy customers. Usually the only problems are when Royal mail loose an item or have a heavy delay, the same applies with parcel force, and the old problem with our old website which was detailed on the front page that there may be a delay at that time.

I don't want anybody at all to feel bad about what they have received, no matter if something doesn’t fit, if somebody doesn’t like a part, if they simply change their mind about something, we just want our customers to be perfectly happy with the part they have received, many shops charge extra postage to send another item out, even when it is the shops fault, or if the customer just wants a different part, but we don't do that.

Thanks.

Phil.

Firstly, I’d just like to say.....

....Thanks.

Phil.

fair play phill, good response!

sorry if it came across as a personal dig, its just the majority of people only have what they see on the forum to go by, it just seems that more could be done on the customer service front sometimes. as at the end of the day, a shops reputation is based entirely on how the seller interacts with the customer, which is why tartybikes have such a good rep!
