Hamilton is a star and Kimi finally has a good car under him. Unfortunately Webber doesn't still early days but should be an exciting season. F-Stop Junkie Posted March 18, 2007 Report Share Posted March 18, 2007 Bridgestone is the control tyre now because having one tyre supplier means a massive cut in testing mileages (and therefore cost), and it also slows the cars down. If the cars are running too fast, then it's easy for the governing body to have the tyres changed to slow them further.If I remember correctly, Michelin didn't tender for the control tyre gig as they felt they would only benefit from F1 with competition. Therefore Bridgestone are now sole suppliers.Nothing to do (directly) with Indianapolis, and certainly not Bernie's doing! A tyre war spices up the grids as it adds uncertainty. RicH_87 Posted March 18, 2007 Report Share Posted March 18, 2007 yeh same, however it was his own choice. he's even paying to be there.i bet he's feeling pretty gutted though, i honestly expected him to be flying this season, maybe even top 3 overall but his car looks shit.although saying that, last year his car was shit too at the start, then it was awesome, just unreliable.it's a shame though because he's a really good driver imo. much better than coulthard yet he's suffering the same fate.nice to see hamilton doing very very well, i just hope he doesn't get too big for his boots, because this season is likely to be a brown nose party round his place. Why is he even still on the grid, Qualified 15th? Then that stupid manouver he tried to pull down the inside, almost decaptating the other driver was just rediculous. What a twat. Simpson Posted March 19, 2007 Report Share Posted March 19, 2007 Kimi - LegendNo really dont like him! he just so bland.... wouldnt sign peoples autographs for the huge ferrari following... just seemed harsh! i really hope to see hamilton at the top this year really bring something home for england this season! i had, fizzy hamilton and alonso in my fantisy team of 6 riders and mclaren as my team! f**k you dad ill beat you this year!but the mclarens were setting 28's and kimi did a 25 lap! shows that when and if he need to he really can push it 3 seconds up on the mclarens even when they were pushing to the limit! which i think shows the pace the ferrari can set this season! i dont think ferrari have found a good driver in massa i may live to eat my words but think he ends up in the gravel far too much! and ferrari may also struggle under the f**kING SHIT FIA guidelines of the 2 race engine life..... its a race! if you want to see endurance so to see the f**king le mans! its ridiculas!Button and coultard.... are just.... well....... coultard cant drive fast..... and i feel buttons clean lines and good technical breaking and sweet lines that under a good car really could do him proud..... but..... i dunno..... seeing as barry overtook him in the same car then dissapeared into the distace...... its ridiculas!!! button must be kicking himself.... rant overCOMEON HAMILTON Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
