nickyw
If ive thought right what your talking about,Is it the the part were the lever blade goes? If so,Then..Take the whole lever off danny baby...You should see a circle black peice what is in the lever (Think this is the cylinder itslef).Push it as hard as you can (pure daniel kearns muscle will do) and it should push back and come out a little bit (or straight out).If it comes out a little bit,Get some pliers and pull it out. Then inisde,You should see a spring and loads of oil. Could be totally wrong how you do it,But thats how mine came out.
James Quigley
why do you need to replace it?If it's just 'sticking' take it out (the black bit with the spring) thorougly clean it all, drown in a silicon lubricant (NOT silicon sealant) and push it all back together, should work fine then. eskimo
Sorry to bump it as your sorted but what was the problem in the first place? I'm curious to how you broke it if you did?
Danny Kearns
Right ok buddy. What was happening was, I was pulling the brake lever. before the pads even hit the rim, the lever locked solid when pulled it and you couldnt squeeze it backwards for nothing. Basically my brake pads woudnt even get to the rim and the lever had pulled in as far as it wanted to go.Dan....................
