Ryan.
basically i've slightly rounded my drive side echo forged crank due to riding while it was loose without realising, is there a way to fix this or some sort of bodge to sort it?ryan Edited March 12, 2007 by Sheringham_trials
ben_travis
coke can trick. take a piece of coke can and force it inbetween the bb and crankotehr than that. u could get some weld glue stuff that u make a mix of and put that in. you wont get crank off again though. Walleee
Good luck at getting a coke can to bend effectively with an ISIS spline.......I really didn't think this would happen with an isis crank because there are so many point's of interferance unlike square taper where there is only 4 corners.anyway yeh if it is indeed an isis crank you have I doubt there is much you can do really. Christophe'
Haha, Wishful thinking with the coke can trick!Basicaly, once an aluminium isis crank gets damaged slightly by not being mated to the steel bb axle corretcly, it can only get worse. The same goes for putting old isis cranks on a new bottom bracket,,,,even if the the bolts were originaly done up correctly! There is no bodge for this.Unfortunately Isis is fine when it works but has major flaws in its design.New crank arms time!
manuel
if the bb comes with a little washer on the end (like a 1mm washer that sits where the arm tightens up to ... ) take it off - pushes the cranks further onto the splines making the fit tighter. Brian Bleech
Good luck at getting a coke can to bend effectively with an ISIS spline.......If you try wrapping the coke can round the axle it is impossible to get the cranks on, much easier to do it this way. stopped mine wobbling
downhill_rob2@hotmail.com
this works well did it to mine at the weekendlmao, i think your bike is covered in coke cans :| lol, you use it on every bodge...
Krisboats
Stick an old pair of bars on the allen key when tightening them and then stand on the bars They wont come loose then

Jsy Ben
PFT tape wrapped round the bb twice or thrice, should fill the worn gap on the axle.
Greetings
Good luck at getting a coke can to bend effectively with an ISIS spline.......It can be done, you need to slide two thin strips into two opposing sides of the spline. Not easy as with a square taper but it works.
Callum Trialsin
PFT tape wrapped round the bb twice or thrice, should fill the worn gap on the axle.thats what i was thinking that tape that is used on plumbing pipes or something (is thin so it goes right into the threads)Callum
