Recommended Posts

Anyone here who rides a fixed gear, and would be kind enough to give me a few minutes / hours of there time, would be appreicated :). Maybe we could make a fixed topic, about fixed gear / racing bikes. Im sure theres a few of us on here who do more than one discipline.

Thank you!

I don't, but my dad rides a fixed road bike.

I ride my scott to work on a monday, and thats a single speed so it sort of counts I suppose.

I have also ridden on manchester veledrome which is frickin terrifying, the bankings are 42 degrees and if you don't go fast enough you slide down. I mean you can feel the bike slide as you go round.

I've ridden there too, it was good fun :) Just gotta stay in the right boundaries for how fast you're going, pretty much.

With regards fixies, I'm thinking of getting one as a "Going to town" bike so I don't have to lock my BMX up in town. I know a good few people who use them to commute and get around, and I rode one around for a bit before, and they're really nice. Nice and simple, easy to ride, all good.
