Guest
i must admit i got the impression they are copying tarty a bit, but some some is ok on there especially some of the wheels and bits, but all the bikes on there are too pricey, maybe they should get some lower priced bikes for example some onza's may do the job. Sjupe
It does look like they have taken some similar ideas from tarty like the title and they do need some more choice of parts and lower priced bikes.
moto_psycho
never heard of them before! thanks for the referral!!! Edited March 7, 2007 by moto_psycho

Selectbikes dont stock Onza bikes or components instead specilises in Deng components
ilikeriding
Alot easier to navigate through than the old one it is pretty much tarty though with a bit less stuff.

fyfey
haha! They've completely ripped off TartyBikes! How can they get away with that Ah well, at least it's a good and proven layout.
eskimo
Oh and by the way Tarty probably copied another site. It's just the standard layout used now.

Inspired Dave
Oh and by the way Tarty probably copied another site. It's just the standard layout used now.I suppose you could say that - however ours was built completely from scratch using notepad using the best bits of the best sites we could find (given cost/time restraints!). Site looks good Phil.
Greetings
It's alright, hope they've done something with their service which was a disgrace last year.Going to stick to Tartybikes anyway it's much safer.
Andeee
They seem to be doing there offers cheaper by £20 than tarty of getting a free t-shirt because tarty do it when you spend over £100 but select appear to be doing it when you spend over £80 seems a good deal. Simon
Copying Tartybikes? You f**king what. Theres only so many variations and layouts a bike shop can use, and i think the one Select use, along with Tarty is about it.Not sure why people are so amazing though, doesn't look much different to last one? totaltrials
Thanks for the feedback, just a few things about the site, firstly, the new site is based on our old site, very similar layout, works very much the same, and has the same colour scheme, to somebody it may seem as if we have copied Tarty, but all I can say is our old website was out before the other company, and our new website is very similar and design to our old site. So, would you say they copied our old design?? I certainly wouldn’t, their website is great, but as "Simon" said, there are only a few ways you can design a good working website, there are other websites in a different market with totally different e-commerce websites but that suits their type of trade and we feel our old website was great, this is just the same but improved.Secondly, our logo at the top has been on our t-shirts for about 8months now, we just decided to use it for the top bar on the site as it looked better, again, we had that design on our t-shirts long before any other company had them on theirs and website.I admit our service wasn't too great at the end of last year, of course we had major problems with the old site which couldn’t be fixed, which did delay orders, hence the new website which took time, and we did have a major disaster in the wind with trees falling down and destroying everything, we put everything on the website to let customers know, the last few months of last year was a complete run down, we are terribly sorry for any delays in the orders. But we are back on track like in the past and better, we apologize for any delays at the end of the year last year, but again we are back to normal top notch fast service again. .Phil.
