SO - After finding out I'm deffo going to Music College, I decided that I'd better go pay monthly! So I looked around, and ended up with the people I'm with at the moment.

Orange - Dolphin 18 Month Contract

£25 - 150mins - 300 texts - Unlimited Evening and Weekend Texts

or

£30 - 300mins - 400 texts - Unlimited Evening and Weekend Tects

I can have either of these phones :

http://www.blackberry.com/uk/products/blackberry7100/blackberry7130g.shtml ://http://www.blackberry.com/uk/produc...rry7130g.shtml

Trouble is, I've been looking at reviews, and they both look amazing! SO, I thought, maybe a bit of imput from you guys might help..

I basicly need one to help me with my College Studies, but also great for listening to music... =)

Cheers,

Hendrixmaster

i'm pretty sure you'll never use any of the extra shit the blackberry has whilst at college, so it's just extra bulk you could easily do without.

personally i'd go for the samsung, super small, probably good quality as most samsung phones are and does exactly what a phone should do.

Thoise blackberries are proper hard to do anythign with, i can only press a minimum of 2 buttons at a time, i can easily press 4-5 buttons at a time though if i don't use my thumb precisely enough.

Needless to say, the buttons are too small for me to use at all.

OT...But is that Initial D in yo Avatar? - Just wondering...

Yes it is, the proper anime version.

Blackberry in the UK is pretty much pointless. Its massive in the USA, but everywhere else can't be bothered with it.

You'll find it amazing the first time you use those features, but that'll be the first, and only time those features will get used.

I mean. I've got a Motorola A1000 on Three.... which is nice, a touch screen... but it's getting old. I also bought a Sony Ericsson W300i... which is pretty sweet... but tricky to use.

Going pay monthly because you get so much more for your money...

and Blackberries are Posers phones... I guess :P

I'm going to try and get this

http://www.blackberrypearl.co.uk/

if you do have epileptic fits... don't go into that site!

*drools on keyboard*

Thats the one with the buttons that are about 2mm tall. Only nice thing on that is the rolly ball thing on the front. Cameras wank, buttons are gay, and the screen is about average size for nowadays. I guess they built the phone 3 years ago as a top of the range model then spent 3 years making the software.

Yep... loads of people do =)

You've got to admit... the Website for the BlackBerry Pearl is blooming cool!!

thats not a reason to buy it though... ion real life the phone is crap. Even my 3 year old nokia 3200 had a calender with notes, memo's, etc so its not like the blackberry is still cutting edge. I like the ease of use with my k800i. Make an appointment/reminder on the phone and it stores it on the pc when i plug it in so if i don't notice my phone its on my pc too. And vica versa, very easy to take someones address over msn then when your phones plugged in it stores it on that and you go post off their goods with the address off your phone.

Just makes life conveniant thats all. But soemthing that isn't conveniant... is the frickin keypad on those blackberry's. Its actually a hinderance the buttons are that small.

As I said - I'm trying them out at the weekend...

...then once I've chosen, I have to present the plan to my parents - and say... "I WANT THIS ONE... BITCH!"

=)

Normally works ;)
