Danny Kearns
Hi all. I have abit of a problem. I have a zona zip frame a t-master rear hub. Now i set my wheel up all fine, get the correct tension, tighten all my wheel up. ride for about 1 minute and my chain is loose, Not in too loose that i can not ride it but in too loose that its horrible and flaps about everywhere and my freewheel doesn't engage as quick as it should.I have tried 3 different chain tensioner s. I have even got as far as drilling and tapping my frame and running snail cams but that doesn't even work.I was thinking it could be a snapped axle but i put a new one in and still the same happens.Any idea's people ?Thanks in advance.Dan............................. Token
Sounds like you've tried every everything possible. Tried using snail cams and bmx tensioners, can't really be possible for your wheel to move if your running two sets of tensioners right? ManxTrialSpaz
Happens to me as well. Mostly it's just the chain tensioner isn't seated properly and the wheel moves forward during tightening. I just set the tension a bit harder than I want it and it ends up slacking off to perfect tension after I tighten it
mintsauce96
Not being funny but are you sure you don't have any silly flat spots or bending on your chainring?? Does the chain become loose and tighten again while rotating your cranks??
Muel
I have found that the recesses on my zip frame are so small that you can only get the nut on, I can't get a tensioner to slot in.Mabye the slot is holding the tensioner up off the surface, so I am running it with no tensioners, bit of an arse to get the tension right but it doesn't slip once done. Dan6061
Mine's been fine.. Do the wheel bolts up tight, then once that's in place, do the tensioners nuts up a bit tighten, should help stop it moving so much...Also try cleaning up the dropouts, and dirt etc could make it slip about...
