poopipe Posted March 8, 2007 Report Share Posted March 8, 2007 ATi absolutely pissed on nvidia for raw image quality up until the 8800 series came out.true enough - shame their drivers are gash 9 times out of 10 really. is this going to be any more interesting than the old C&C games or is it just the same sort of deal with nicer graphics and a few extra knobs and buttons? Haz Posted March 8, 2007 Report Share Posted March 8, 2007 No, it really is new, from the old RA2 style to something much more 'Company of Heros'. Essentially it is similar but has new controls, units and with those it has so many new possibilities, the AI is better than supposedly any other RTS game and adapts to counter your style of play.RTS are my favourite games, actually require thought and strategies beond popping some one with an AWP. Unfortunately, there's not really going to be a lot in it to convert you, if you havn't enjoyed previous versions.Pauly, that system will easily handle it. It looks complicated, I hate games like Earth 2160 (or something along those lines) where it takes a good 4 hours to finish a skirmish game. Generals ***! Its just C&C generals, slightly better interface with slightly better graphics. I hope they multiplayer is good as thats all I shall buy it for, at the moment Supreme Commander is winning the RTS of the year , for my anyway.If you have not tried Supreme Commander, go try it, 80km x 80km maps and 1000 units per team and up to 8 teams .
