Dave Lowe
I know people think it looks gay but you really want to be doing some stretching before and after your ride, just because your doing trials doesn't mean your not an athlete. ScotchDave
Alright, I'm no physio or doctor, though I like to think I'm fairly up on the stuff, so if this doesn't help don't blame me.Anyway something I find often helps is: stand with your feet shoulder width apart, hang arms down to the side, then just gently twist your shoulders from side to side, try to keep the feet fairly still but not totally planted, do this gently like a dynamic stretch, if it helps you should find everything loosening up. If it feels strange, or painful try twisting more gently, or stop.P.S. I accept no liability...Dave
Alex.loves.boys
Longer stem?Strecth before and after you ride.I think that people who ride mod and get it is becuase there bike's are too short.Just stretch as much as possible.
Phil H
Use the search mate must be abot 1000 of these threads.IMO probably just a strained muscle (not as bad as pulling it) and it will heal up in a few days. In my experience it needs some time and after a day when ive had a strained back it does go back to normal but is alot easier to strain again. So I'd recommend a few days out if you can take the pain of not riding.Clearly must have occured as you haven't been using the 'trials' muscles for a while if you've been out of riding. Rest them, build them, be back on top. After you've rested it if its still bad maybe see a professional?I have strained a few muscles in my back riding so at the gym I've put a few lower back workout techniques in.Phil
Ingram
i think its just cos like you say i havnt used those muscles you use doing trials, and like when you first start things start to hurt (obviously not as much cos you cant do as much when you first start). we shall see after a day or soits getting better now though, so sounds to me though they just need waking up
