It goes with a pretty loud bang as you can hear and is rather powerful for it's size. Using cooking apples and furniture polish for fuel (potato's and Adidas deodorant, not anti persprint, is the best option)

Show me yours?

mine was better :shifty:

it obviously had a much longer barrel though.

shame it blew up while Iolo was using it, it properly winded him!

My best one was one that I made in 20 mins while waiting for some friends to call, it had a paint tin, bit of plastic pipe and a whole lot of tape! worked REALLY well, but eventually kinda began to fall apart.

I have some cool steel beer kegs here that I want to weld a barrel too, bet that will work a treat!!

:o Alastair! That's so dangerous, youneed to make it out of pressure rated (10 bar will do) PVC pipe. I haven't but as it's only got a small combustion chamber (white bit) it's apparently quite safe.

With 30 quid you can buy one from amaerica (inc postage) and it'll be safe and rather powerful, about 10 times more powerful than my one.

Was it you that made one out of copper piping?

i did, but never remember telling you about it, was mint though, got some random old skool imperial bb's we found in an old auto factors store, bought like 200 of them for £8, could shoot them like 300 + foot, (cudnt get a measure above that, as we could never find where the sodding thing landed, when not on concrete) and would shatter double glasing at around 120 foot, no problems.

yeah, looking back now its pretty dangerous, was a good laugh though. A metal one should be a lot better!

I dont really see the point in buying one, half the fun of them is making it yourself!

Was it pneumatic punk?

Mine shot from my backgarden to 75 metres away and 10 stories up! Was so jaw dropping to see it do it.

The UKSGC admin gave my cannon a prize ;Ghetto cannon of the week. ^_^

nah it was combustion, however no matter how grown up an mature i think i am, i have got a mighty big compressor in my garage, that puts out about 190psi if i remember correctly, im sure plumbin that into a pipe, an just pluggin the quick coupling in, will make a certain effect.

Metal for Pneumatic yes, not for combustion, it will fail easy and is a lot more dangerous than flying plastic. Use copper pipe, a ball valve and a schralder valve+foot pump.

VIDS WORKING NOW! (Is the sound out loads?)

I am sure covering it in duct tape will sort out any flying bits...my old one was only really thin, it was more like a metal bag than a solid chamber, you could bend the sides in to touch! that had 4 layers of tape around it, it never failed!

Ali - you might aswell buy pressure rated from a man on ebay called Mr_HOseUK (i think) it'll be much safer and will be better as you can get some real nice sized launchers and still be safe.

Sheringham - do it. And yeah, firearms but the laws are VERY vague on them, they're not actually propperly classed as anything accept a fire arm (a weapon that fires a missile or any sort)

Jake - it's the first one i had, she hasn't let me get the one from america. Instead i'm buying it all seperately from an oline shop in the uk. (gonna be better than the one from america, heheh, sucker) But for it's size, people admit it does pack a good punch!

fat pants you could get f**ked for having that, regardless of how shit it may be, i've been charged with tresspassing with a firearm for carrying a bb gun through a local estate just yesterday.

The laws are vague so that they cover everything, be it a shotgun or a peice of pipe and some hairspray.

i'm not saying don't make one, just don't walk about with it and make sure you're not just pricking about with it in a local park.

i've learned my lesson now i reckon but i'm going to make one anyway, my last one could put a half full bottle of coke through a fence.

right for a decent amount of power (should see 300yards)

The barrel should be 36"x 1 1/2" and the combustion chamber 10"x 4"

it'll look like this

ahaha fat pants that is the smallest spud gun ever made! lmao we made one once but we didnt make a remote detination for it so you had to spray the hairspray in and light it with a lighter.... it always used to re-coil into your hand and propper hurt! someone on here made a propper spud gun once though *goes to search*
