Fishy
Right, Mates T-pro skips like a nun. Freewheels new, chains quite new, and the back cog seems fine. The only thing I can see wrong is that the chain line's not inline. What can I do/buy to sort it out? Houseface
freewheel might be bedding in, if the chains new its strecthing like every chain so it will for maybe a week if not less. chainline dont matter to much unless its coming in and hitting the chain right on the side.steve. Fishy
The chain and freewheel seem fine though. I'm almost certain it's the chainline.
The Duck
I have the same problem with my chain alignment, i doesn't skip but it should do because its so out it makes me laugh... (I’m very lonely) I can't actually think of a way to sort it out though except for getting a shorter bb, but this creates problems in itself with there not being space etc... RobinJI
Welcome to the word of mods. It's basicaly tough luck I'm affraind. FFW and 116mm hub spacing just arnet gunna work really are they.Only thing I can think of is to put the drive side snail cam on the outside of the dropout monty style, and put a 3mm washer on the non-drive side, so the hub moves 3mm to the drive side. Obviosly have to re-dish the wheel though.
Fishy
Ah f**k it. If all else fails I'll use a hammer.
Jez
Ah f**k it. If all else fails I'll use a hammer.Gentle adjustment is always a good thing Failing that if you're really desparate, angle grinding away some hub/BB-related bits may help...but then again that may do the exact opposite and result in a hefty bill and a punch in the face from said mate... tom e
what about a change of bb? a longer or short bb axle will surely sort your chainline out.
