smellthecheese
Hey there people. Ive just bought my mates stock and being new to trials i need help I ride a lot of street, i own a 24 cycles pornking with a bmx'y sorta set up. I wanted to put like an ultra short stem on the stock to retain some sorta trials feel...like 60mm 0 rise. Is this a bad idea? Will i ruin the rest of the geo?I also need to buy a set of freewheel cranks and freewheel. I run a 36 pickup eno on my street bike and its the nuts, my eyes have been opened by a try-all version ive seen for like the same price...108 engagement/9 pawl!!! Is this humanley possible? And cranks, well i know that mods and stocks inverably use different length arms but im not too sure what to look for. Im getting a koxx isis bb with it, my mate swears by it but i dont want to put a set of buttery soft cranks on a gorgeous bb...Any help/advice would be apriciatedThanksDan
Mr Plod
Hey. You live pratically round the corner from me As for the stem choice and ruining the geo, it all depends what frame you have. So a bit more detail as to the spec of the bike and the like would be helpful. As for the bb and crank choice... all depends what sort of price range you're looking for... The higher the price, usually the better the product. Take a look on HERE and see if anything tiggles your fancy and then ask for more information... orrrr even better, give tarty a ring as they're top blokes and will give you the best advice.
