Ali C
I hope the recent earthquake hasnt effected or delayed this park from its completion/opening date.seeing as I didn't even notice the earthquake I think the quarry will be just fine

Revolver
i think it will proberly be burnley, there isnt one near put it that way and i wouldnt like to ride from burnley.arseso for the people who will take the trains, how will they get to the spot itself from the nearest train station? basher
Theres no other way than to ride but it would be one hell of a trek from burnley, there may be a station bit nearer that i dont no of but certainly not one within 15min ride. You could get a taxi from burnley to it but that would be expensive i recon about 20 quid. So i think that option would only be sensible if your camping and not just going for a bit of a ride.edit: done abit of research for you gays and burnley isnt the nearest todmorden is. Im just seeing if there one abit nearer at mo so if i do ill let you know. Edited February 28, 2008 by basher

chrishayton
todmorden might be closer. but then its up bacup road which is at least 3 miles. and its steep, and then another couple of miles to the quarry.

Davetrials
if..seeing as its almost built, i thinks its more of a "when"
Ali C
yep, deffinatly a "when".Been up today, unfortunately not much has happened since I was last up, they are short staffed at the moment (just 3 people working up there!) and the men in suits are fussing that the xc routs arn't getting made fast enough, so it looks like there could be a delay in the grand opening On a brighter note, a few lorry loads of contrete stuff should be here next week!
