Looking To Buy A 24" Anyone Got Any Suggestions.

Im looking to buy a more trials specific bike as my normal trialstar is a bit awkward, but I don't want to go to the extremes of a 20" mod. Iv seen the 24uk from Heatsink bikes but they seem to be hard to get hold of, so I need some ideas. Also where can I get wheels and stuff like that from?

Thanks, Tom.

The new Ciguena 24" frame from tartybikes looks quite nice.

Here it is.

Depends on your budget, if you are limited to £500 then get a Zoot, if its nearer £700 then get a ciguena built up and get as many of the bits off here as you can.

You could have double disc if that takes your fancy...

Thanks guys, I like the ciguena but havin no seat might take some getting used to. Iv got about £900 to spend (student loan got to spend it some how!) so iv just got to decide what I want. Are 24" wheels hard to get hold of or is it just me being useless?

Plenty of 24" tyre/wheel/rim/hub choice on www.chainreactioncycles.com, and I'm sure the TartyBikes chaps can help too :)

Seats ***, even though I won't have any 24UKs back in stock for a few months :)

Well from the date I order them, then it should be 4-6weeks, but I've been holding back on ordering since taking orders for frames and also making brake pads was overloading me time wise! It was an idea to have a gap in the stock of these frames to give me some breathing space to complete the mountain of brake pad work outstanding.

That said, from the emails I get, riders are keen for me to get them back in stock asap, especially the white ones. So I should find an energy spurt, make some major progress with brake pad manufacture, and get some white frames on order! Within the next week I will make it my goal to complete the outstanding work on methods which accelerate my manufacturing speed (the pads in the Heatsink range which are currently hand cut individually). So next Friday (2nd of March) I can decide whether I'm ready to order the frames or otherwise set a date for it, and post the expected delivery date on my website. Thanks for your interest Tom, and I'll reply to the email I think I received from you too!

Cheers,

Steve

Thanks Steve, yeh that was my email. I think I'll hang on then because the 24uk is by far the best lookin frame I've seen, especially in white or black. Keep me posted on the date and I'll order one as soon as you get some, this money is burnin a big hole in my pocket!!

Cheers,

Tom

Well you can get 24" tyres easy enough, I think the stock favourtite is a high roller although my mate runs a 2.7 inch thing on the back,, its maxxis but I'm not sure what. I think all maxxis tyres come in 24, and as for rims, viz have just made some HERE

It can be done, for your budget you could have a really nice spec.

I was lookin at the viz rims, they look good but there wide so might have trouble squeezin them between maguras, but i can always go double disc.

Thanks for your help,

Tom
