Token
If she has a Sound Card then I'd probally start with re-installing the drivers for that.

Token
She may not have an external soundcard, it may just be an Onboard sound device (meaning her sound is processed on the motherboard)If you have to plug the speakers into the motherboard then she definitely doesnt have a soundcard, but if theres a card in the pci slot and sockets in the back coloured for the speakers then the chances are she's got a soundcard. You'll have to look at the soundcard itself to establish who it is made by, if its by creative then just google them for drivers.Just have a fiddle around with settings, best of luck, hope she doesnt deprive you of sex for that long for buggering her computer. Token
Okay they must be universal then, have you checked the 'Sounds and Audio Devices' settings in the control panel? Other than that, I'm spent on ideas.
