Krisboats
Am i wrong in thinking the distance between the rear axle and the brake mounts is roughly the same on mod bikes? Or are you trying to make it so it rests on the seatstay to spread the braking load out a bit more?I genuinely don't understand how it would be different between every type of frame so if someone could put me straight i'd very much appreciate it I guess this is how i imagined it would look, which i guess fits most frame shapes. manuel
EDIT: the third hole is for the bolt where the snail cam is extra support.surely the only support. without that bolt the thing would rotate round. and with the bolts being very close to the pivit point of the axle its going to recieve an enormous amount of force. maybe not enough to break it but all the same - I wouldnt want to risk it. so (like they say on dragons den) for that reason Im out. plus it wont work on a stock anyway . RobinJI
Just a heads up, but that mount wouldn't work with a Mono trials as the caliper would hit the material between the mouning wholes. Also on an I.S. disc mount the mount is 0.4mm setback from the dropout face (or in this case the part where the hub sits on the adapter.) (excuse my spelling, for some reason spell check doesn't work on this computer.)Manuel, he said that pic didn't include the support, so I'm guessing theres something that goes through the dropout and adapter behind the axle or something. pitbull-91
i will have one for a t-pro but make a bit that goes up and bolts to the maggie mounts that should work out to be stronger and wouldn't move as much or put as much stress on the frame.adam
