The Sidehop Thread

Side hopping over strings wont work if you side hop to front wheel, it'll be alright if you goto two though, best thing is gap side hop, get yourself to a side hop you can make that you like to play around on, and start going further away from it and having to dive sideways onto it, that will teach you how to tuck (Y)

I go to 2 wheels :) Is it not obvious from the pic? :P

Sidehop gapping sounds like a plan though. I'll try both see what forces me into it more.

Cheers Gaz

You make me laugh because both youand Dan say its shit here and you dont like it , yet you come back every other fortnight to ride

We've just owned Cheltenham that's all Max. Hereford is still wannabe.

i cant tuck to save my life but i've been trying what gaz m said and getting further from the wall and gapping into it.imagine this (this'll seem random but i am a geordie).you are on a clock face, front wheel on the 12 back on the 6.that was my usual position for a sidehop (perfectly parallel sp to the wall) if found that this doesnt work good at all imo. if i set up so my front wheel would be between 10 and 11 and my back wheel between 4 and 5, i find this works and has some effect on making you tuck. the further "round the clock" you go the more you end up tucking. are you high sidehoppers setting up parallel or back wheel further away than your front?

Because Sidehopping has to have tuckage. I can't think of anybody who can sidehop 50" and above without a tuck.

Danny.

fair play but dont you think somne people just tuck for the hell of it even on tiny sidehops. i would get pictures from this topic but dont want to bully people. haha
