ben.richardson
Hi, Is there anyone on the forum that can tell me when adam and dave at tarty bikes will be recieving an order of the new echo freewheels as it only says late feb and my tensile is about to snap. Also how many people have ordered one and how are they to the eno as they can both be fully replaced if a certain part breaks . The eno is cheaper than the echo freewheel at 70 pounds off tarty and the echo is 80 so presumably the echo should be sligtly better than the eno. Has anyone had an eno longer than 6 months as thats how long mu tensile has lasted how often does your eno skip and would it be worth purchasing or shall i wait until the long awaited echo freewheel comes out as it will suit my new echo team nicely.help apprechiated

ben.richardson
well its not hard to work out that my tensile freewheel has been going for around 6 month and has just started to skip really badly and ive lost engagement points
Matt_Tupman
I have never had or heard of any problems with an Eno they are great freewheels, I'm sure the echo freewheel will be good but i'd leave it a couple months to see if any problems quickly emerge from the first few sold. As for when will they be avalible yor best bet would be phoning up TartyBikes and asking although it does say Late Feb on their site.well its not hard to work out that my tensile freewheel has been going for around 6 month and has just started to skip really badly and ive lost engagement points Has the frewheel ever been serviced? RobinJI
Yeah, you can take them apart fine, just undo the lock ring, take everything out and check its not broken, then put it all back how you found it.Just go for the ENO otherwise though. The echos only advantage really is the removal tool. But I wouldn't pay £10 for that. Other than that there basically the same, except the ENO is made properly in America by a well know and well respected company, and the Echo is made in some chinese factory by god knows who. Also from people experience with other echo/white industries parts I'd say the bearings in the ENO will probably last a lot longer.
