t-liteboy Posted February 16, 2007 Report Share Posted February 16, 2007 hi all,i am getting a hope disc brake needs a bleed and i was wondering how to bleed them i dont know if its just like a magura or what i bleed my maguras with no syeringe where i undo one nut at a time and pump the lever can i do this with the hope disc brake.please comment and help me please.cheersjake. ben.richardson Posted February 16, 2007 Report Share Posted February 16, 2007 i dont think you can use the same syringe that you use on maguras.All i know is that its a different size syringe that screws onto the caliper of the disk and depending on the bleed you have to pump the lever quite a lot to get the oil pressurised. rossmonty221pr Posted February 16, 2007 Report Share Posted February 16, 2007 Orite, Yesterday my front hope bust, so all I did was,1.Take the top cap off the lever body which says hope on it.2.pour oil into the resovior.3.Keep pumping the oil through by pressing the brake in.(until no air bubbles are coming up from the brake)4.make sure the resovior is flat not at an angle.Hope I have helped you mate.
