TomR
Anyone know of any QR front lights? IE a QR bracket or a very small unobtrusive bracket? Nearly got fined last night, rear one ill just clip on my back pocket.I also nearly got an £80 fine for 'riding on the pavement' - IE i was sitting, stationary on my bike outside tescos, which i think is private property anyway, but ive requested a public rights of way plan from the LA for confirmation of that. RobinJI
My front one is a QR fitting. Its good, but not with me and I cant remember the name. Has a single really bright LED for use around town and a bright halogen bulb for other times. But to be fair, on a trials bike I only eve use the LED and it last forever with the batteries. Think it might be a smart light or something.Edit This is the one.Edit!: actualy thats not it, but that looks better anyway and fits in the same way. It should be £30 and £30 for no lights. Also brakes that aren't safe to a certain standard is another £30. Well thats what i've always known it as. Are you sure you weren't up to any mischief or causing an obstruction or even queaking your brakes? Your best bet to avoid police is not to acknowledge their presense. I mean if you see them make sure you don't look back at them and then for some reason they think that you think your not doing wrong. Works everytime for me *touch wood*. And i ride on pavement with no lights with no brakes. But as long as it looks like your riding fairly safe then it tends to be ok. I think the main reason they don't bother with me now is because they know im just a rider who does it for fun. Even when i'm on the trials bike on a wall in the dark they don't seem to be bothered as far as i can tell.
