A!!
Loved watching that, it makes me want to get back out on my trials motorbike. When it is summer again i think i'm going to have to take it to Lincoln quarry again and have a good ride on it. It is a hell of a lot harder than it looks though, it's one of those things that when you have never done you assume it will be easy because you only use engine power not your own, but when you actually have a go it is a lot more complicated than it looks. The bikes have a dry weight of around 70kg (usually slightly under). The best videos to watch are of the indoor rounds, where it is a man made course, that really is awesome to watch. Walleee
I'd imagine clutch control is a biggy? From riding my pit bike I kow i'd have problems, but then trials bike;s tend to have hydraulic one's rather than cables ones bodged with a front bike brake lever upside down!! Will Arnold
awesome control, good stuff like biketrials, but a bit more lazy and with the added difficulty of clutch control that back brake looks like it works mint too
TRA
Judging mototrials from one of worlds best riding some small rocks as a test ride is like judging Biketrials when vincent hermance is riding a curb ! Its really hard to find some decent mototrial videos on the net ! Someone should really start filming worlds best in training, would have been incredible. Ducko
loved that video mototrials has always appealed to me alot but its just so pricey for all the gear!!
Matt_Tupman
There's a few people on here who need to try it before they comment on it. Been riding motorbike trials since I was 11 now 19 and it's certainly not an easy or lazy sport! Infact I'll be more tired after riding a really hard moto trial than I will from riding the equivelent biketrial. Yep clutch control is a very big part of motorbike trials possibly one of the most important parts.I think Rich Pearson is coming down my way soon to do some filming of me on the motorbike so we'll get some fotage up soon. Ben Cox
do mototrials bike have the same controls as normal bikes? just thinking because it looks like hes using the l/h lever as a brake not as a clutch

that NBR dude
There's a few people on here who need to try it before they comment on it. That is the best comment I have ever heard on this forum!! Well done Matt!!Yes mototrials is not as easy as it looks. I would agree with Matt in saying that you get more tired in a mototrials comp than biketrials. Its a lot more effort to move the bike around in tight situations. Gavyn.
do mototrials bike have the same controls as normal bikes? just thinking because it looks like hes using the l/h lever as a brake not as a clutchsurly thats only because he needs to use the clutch and the rear brake at the same time so he doesn't stallit's not a lazy sport i had a go and was tired after five mins, there's so much effort goes into one of those correction hops it's unbelievable!I didn't find it too hard but i was only riding over little rocks and up some fairly steep slopes
