Up'n'away
Alright My freind recieved his Tlite yesterday and it has turned out to be quite scratched, if he strips down the stickers ect could he sand it down a thin layer? What i would like to no if he did, what would be the outcome? Rust? Or would he need to use a finish , and if so what finish? On a final note would there be any point changing over from the standard onza forks to smartguys (weight)?Cheers all
Joe Papasnap Maher
he would take of the laquer..and it would loose it's shinyness, and look shit.Heres a diffrent idea. How about , you ride the bike, instead of worrying about how pretty it looks.Seriosly...trials..isnt a fashion contest, no-one will care if your bike has scratches. afterall, why do that anyways...do u never think you will scratch it..You gonna ride it or tickle it..ur choice

You could just spray some lacquer over the sanded bits if you're just worried about corrosion, otherwise strip the whole lot back, polish and re-lacquer it all. Krisboats
Just sand it down to remove the scratches and use nitromors to remove the lacquer over the rest of the frame. Polsih it up and then re-spray it with lacquer and it'll be as good as new.

poopipe
Scratches/shit graphics, it's all aesthetics!normally I'd be laughing at joe and calling him a big girly fag for painting his bike a pretty colour but I'll make an exception on the grounds that the stock zenith looks like someone has nicked it, covered it hammerite and put stickers they nicked from their little brother's action man playset on it.but yeah - stop being a fag and if you must be a fag do what the Dave bloke said cos he knows his shit

ogre
it'll be fine (alu doesn't rust/oxidise like most metals it creates a fun layer of alu.oxide that protects the rest of the metal, or something ilke that).
