Danny Kearns
no one here can define creativity because it's based on an opinion!some people think that abstract art is creative, others don't, some think that the mona lisa is creative, others don't.it's the same here some people find damon going huge creative others don't, some people find danny mac doing a twisty line creative, others don't!I am more impressed by what damon does over danny because of the danger factor, doing a front flip is less dangerous than doing a sidehop over a rail with a 9ft drop on the other side in my opinion, others may think the opposite, I don't care it's my opinion and they can have theirs.i'm sure damon is as impresed by what danny does on his bike, as danny is by what damon does!so who really cares who's better or who we'd rather see a video of, when we've got them both GavynDan............ Luke Rainbird
DONT DIS DAMON FOR GOING BIG BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW YOUR JUST JEALOUS THAT YOU DONT HAVE THE BALLS TO GO AS BIGActually, I don't have the skill...

max-t
This topic is actually quite amusing...People arguin over differnet styles. If there wasn't any varition wouldn't trials be boring?
chrishayton
this is rather a stupid topic. Not because of the title, without knowing the way this forum works you would assume a question like this would be full of people saying, i like dannys cos... or i like damons cos.... and people would all get along. however this is trials forum. its not a place to discuss trials and comunicate with other trials riders. its a place where teenage boys bitch and argue with each other.Everyone think before you post. is it worth arguing. most likely not. everyone is entitled to their own opinion and on matters like whos your favorite rider regarding style there should be no arguing. Danny is unbelievable. its actually worring that hes so good. Damon is ''they are both amazing riders, completly different styles though. i personally dont have a favorite out of the two, but if i did i wouldnt want shouting at or someone mouthing off at me because i like one more than the other. Danny@phatworks
Hmmm interesting topic when you read the title then you open it up and its a poll between two of the top riders in the fields of riding you are trying to compare, which in turn makes it a comparison vote of 'who is your favourate rider?' type topic which is just going to be judged purely on opinions and preferences towards Danny and Damon and therefore pointless. Don't know what people are going on about with this creativity lark, all trials riding is creative whether its hurling up a 55" wall or abbubaca (sp?) to backwards manual off a 3 foot wall etc etc. all of it is using creativity and imagination one way or another. I voted for Danny Mac however but not because of the rider Danny Mac because of the type of riding he does: spinning, combination of tricks in a move and attack it at speed! its awesome. However I still think Damons videos are incredible and some of the stuff this guy can do on a trials bike!! its unbelievable. But every rider is going to watch different types of videos for ideas and inspiration and the real streety type videos such as the Danny Mac/Akrigg/Phil Feeney/Tim Pratt or whoever does it for me. Greetings
right am off! topics full of noobs with stupic opinions (<<<<doesnt apply to anyone who see's that go big styleeee DOES! involve ALOT! of skill!) I doubt anybody wrote something like that in this topic. Skill and creativity is something completely different. And no, I don't want an argument, I was asking a simple question which I really wanted an answer to because maybe I'm missing something. When somebody asks me something, I answer it and don't go on delusional rants. What's the point of insulting everybody who disagrees with you? You've got a serious attitude problem... Simon
This topic is awesome. The more people get angry, the more they type like retards, and the more their counter arguments just seem like utter shit. Get more angry! 90% of you people need to learn to discuss an issue, and not just argue and shout your point across. However funny it is to watch everyone descend into 8 years talking about how big their daddy's car is, and how theirs is the best because it has 6 doors rather then 5, it really is hugely paining at the same time.I voted for Danny by the way. Also, seeing a line from a wall to a rail is common sense, seeing the same line but adding a manual, 306, x-up gap, 90 on rail to invert 360 off, that's being creative. eskimo
I like the way you worded the title. "rather see a video of.."I haven't watched much of Danny's but it's clear i would rather watch his stuff. Just because everything he does tends to be a little more mixed up. I mean if you were to watch Damon you know it will be big sidehops and gaps but that would be it as that's what he does.To be fair it is what sort of riding your actually into. Take some of the people who chose Danny they tend to be into more of the freestyle trials than pure sidehop and gaps.Damon rides the bike he does because he's into the actual trials moves. But i guess if he wanted to ride freestyle trials then he would ride a bike with a lower bb.The problem being is one style is very repetive so watching other stuff tends to be more fun to watch. But like you said which would "you rather see a video of..." so i guess there isn't no debate needing to be done.Just goes to show that most of us aren't pure trials riders. I know i'm far from it.ooo BTW....i really should of sed this at the start hahahahI didnt mean..which rider do you prefer..I meant..which style of riding do you find more impressive...the beasty inch cravers, or the street monsters. If you did mean that, why did you include names?haha this topic already... dave85
Seeing as everyone else is bumming their mates, I'd like to nominate Boumsong.mate is a very strong word, I enjoy taking money off him and thats about itSingle handedly overcoming ineptitude, long hair, flowery shorts and a silly accent, he can levitate across 13 foot gaps He's got a 24" bike now. With the addition of a sparkly emu belt, cords and a pisspot I expect to see him ripping up the streets. Or at the very least the shortest route to Greggs. flipkickbs
I voted Damon Watson mainly because of how well his front brake works. On topic. All this stuff about creativity only being found in more street oriented riding, i.e. Danny Mac, I think there are more possibilities for creative riding in street. Damon Watson rides more or less pure trials, so if he tapped a 55" wall he's not going to want to abubaka or whatever off it, because in trials, that doesn’t count! But people saying Damon’s riding isn't creative? I've never been out and thought about gapping to a static hook (mainly because i can't, but still)They both ride two completely different styles which cant be compared as better or worse than one another, but they both definatly have lots of opportunity for creativity. Who knows what will be next on these vids? Most new releases shock me with the level of riding and new things being achieved.97% of this thread is bulls**t, maybe 98 after people have read my post. I have massive respect for both the riders though and hope they both continue pushing what they do best.
