Great brake holds very very well.not much modulation, but i like that, its got a very on/off feel to it.Also Magura Disk's are very good. depends how much u got to spend really. Richard jersey
Hi, I'v got the Magura Louise disc brake and they are really good if you're looking for a decent brake. But if you're looking for a little bit extra then the Hope Mono Trial is perfect. Both of these brakes are recommended and work really well, also in the long-run.Hope I'v helped, Richard

brisa man
i had a hope mini for a while it did the job but if buying a hope mini try to get a reasonable rotor size, 180 or above would be the best. but by far i would recommend the hope mono trial(Y) cheers. Alex.loves.boys
Avid.Sooo goood.Ive got 185 on my stock and its perfect.tones of modulation but all the bite and hold i could ever want.Go for the 185 avid.if your on mod 160 should do plently fine.Althought my 185 on my mod was insane, was literally impossible to slip thoough. Matt B
I've only had problems with my old Hope Mono Trial, and I had not enough to get a BB7, so I opted for a Magura Julie... I'm not joking you when I say this is one of the best feeling brakes ever. My friend has Magura Louise, it's a bit too bitey for me, but has a lovely feel to it. trials_mad
I would agree with most of the above who are saying Avid BB7. They are awesome brakes and you can find them on ebay. I found 1 on ebay with a 185 rotor and it was a really good but. I love them, much better than maguras. If you do get 1 then make sure you bed it in by going down a big hill with the brake on slightly until the disk gets really hot and then pour cold water on the disk. Do this until the disk gets sharper and sharper.
