Hey guys, just thinking today and i remembered I forgot to pick my GCSE certificates up from my school (I sat them in May/june time) and its now gone past the date that they said we could collect them. I just wondered if anybody else didnt pick theirs up and if anybody knows if theres a way I can get them? I dont want to be stuck when it comes to applying for uni etc. Please help.

Just go to your school and ask. They prob just file all the uncolected ones in a draw for a while.

I know i didnt colelct my a level certificates until i applied for my 2nd uni (after dropping out of the first year at the first one lol) as they needed certificates, which the first uni didnt. I didnt even realised i hadnt picked em up till i checked my paperwork and only had my GCSE ones.

Don't they send them through the post if you don't pick them up?

Why didn't you go and pic them up in the first place?

Nah I think they only post the result slips through the post if you dont pick them up, not the actual certificates although they should really. I didnt pick them up because I was on holiday, and was busy with other things so I forgot. Its only because I was thinking about what uni I want to go to etc that I remembered I need them.

Ah, i see. Just pop to your school then with some ID (might be picky about it) and ask for them. Should work?

Yeah but Im not sure they will still have them. Thats my problem lol. Ive tried ringing but no answer.

Mine were put through the post, because I complained of having to walk to the school >_<

Haha. Is it far from you or something?

I've been out of school since September 2003, and just last month i received a letter asking me to pick up my GCSE certificates or they will be destroyed.

Might be dependant on school, but that's how long it took for my school to start caring. :)
